In a leading move, the Faculty of Remote, Rural & Humanitarian Healthcare (FRRHH) has marked a significant milestone with the initiation of its second membership phase, having invited applications for the first of its kind prestigious awards recognising excellence in the field of remote, rural, and humanitarian healthcare.
Critical Care International (CCI) Student Essay Competition 2023
The Faculty of Remote, Rural and Humanitarian Healthcare partnered again last year with Critical Care International (CCI) for their 2023 Student Essay Competition. We were pleased to offer three students, a one-year complimentary Affiliate membership to the Faculty and the opportunity to feature their winning essays.
The Tuanku Muhriz Travelling Fellowship in Rural Surgery 2023
The Tuanku Muhriz Travelling Fellowship provides Fellows or Members of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, a rewarding opportunity to gain further experience and training in rural surgery in Malaysia. The 2023 Fellowship was awarded to Consultant Orthopaedic Trauma and Hand Surgeon, Adeline Clement.

Their Majesties, accompanied by The Duke of Gloucester, welcomed Faculty Executive Members, Mr Andy Kent and Prof. Tony Redmond and others to collectively thank those who are part of the UK's contribution to humanitarianism. The reception, held on November 8 at Buckingham Palace, recognised and reflected upon the UK's contribution to humanitarian efforts across the world and also marked 60 years of the Disasters Emergency Committee.

The Faculty of Remote, Rural and Humanitarian Healthcare (FRRHH) celebrates its five-year journey in November 2023, marking significant achievements during this brief period. Initially established as the Faculty of Remote & Rural Healthcare (FRRH), it incorporated Humanitarian in 2020, addressing the pressing need in healthcare to define and set standards for both medical and non-medical personnel delivering services in remote and rural and humanitarian environments.
The Role of a Clinical Advisor in a Humanitarian Organisation
